Master List of Markets Seeking Submissions

                       -= Disclaimers =-

 1) The management of the FidoNet Writing Echo takes no position
as to the worth/validity/taste of any market on this list.
As always, writers submit to markets at their own risk.

 2) The information on this list is the most current information
provided to the OWEPA. Publications move, change format, and
fold with distressing regularity. If you find information
here that is incorrect, please let the OWEPA know. Include
corrections whenever possible. (OWEPA address appears in the
    last message in this series.)

 3) Some of the markets on this list are electronic. The exact
legal status of electronic publications involving "first
rights" and other issues is unclear at this time. Recognize
that publication in an electronic magazine may use up your
first serial rights to the work in question.

 4) Information in these listings is provided only so a writer
can judge whether a market is suitable for his or her work.
Information in these listings is NOT definitive. Some of
these markets have highly specific requirements for manuscript
preparation. Therefore, you are urged to write to these
    markets for COMPLETE guidelines.

"Stories in all genres, 1500-6000 words. Entertainment is a high
priority with us. Stories should have strong plots, endings that
resolve the situation. We can't pay yet, except in contributor's
copies, but we usually mark manuscripts, and always tell you why,
specifically, the story was rejected." Sorry, 'Mericans, this is
a strictly Canadian market. 1,000-6,000 words.

                   Submitting Market Listings

Listing requests MUST BE SENT BY PRIVATE MAIL (Netmail) to the
OWEPA at one of the addresses below. Requests must *not* be posted
in the WRITING echo. DO NOT ADVERTISE YOUR PUBLICATION IN THE
WRITING ECHO YOURSELF! SEND YOUR LISTING VIA NETMAIL TO THE OWEPA!

Listings must meet the following criteria:

1) Each listing must be ten lines (or less) of text. Each line
must have fewer than 80 characters.

2) Listings must include critical information such as editor's
name, mailing address, type of material needed, and payment
offered. Include electronic addresses when available.

3) Listings for non-paying markets may only be submitted by
someone associated with the market in question (editor/
publisher/owner).

4) Don't submit listings for markets commonly found in major
references like _Writer's Market_. The idea here is to publicize
little known markets. Listing well known markets would be a
waste of bandwidth.

5) Listings will NOT be accepted for any publication which requires
that a submitting writer also subscribe to it!

The OWEPA will reject any listing that does not meet the above
criteria, or for other good and sufficient reasons. Listings will
be posted once per month, around the 20th of each month.
